Activity details

The four activities we are involved in

The Ukraine Reconstruction Support Association is carrying out various activities related to local reconstruction.
Among these, I would like to introduce four activities that we are currently focusing on.

1. Dispatch of engineers and personnel

Supporting reconstruction with specialized knowledge and on-site capabilities.

Ukraine's reconstruction requires not just funds and supplies, but also the power of people who can act on the ground.

The Ukraine Reconstruction Support Association, a general incorporated association, will dispatch Japanese experts active in fields such as architecture, civil engineering, electricity, machinery, and agriculture to recovery and reconstruction projects across Ukraine.

Working side by side with local people, we aim to build the foundations for sustainable recovery by sharing our skills and experiences.

We also place importance on educating and training local young people. By imparting Japan's manufacturing spirit and safety management know-how, we support them so that they themselves can take on the responsibility of future reconstruction. "Working together," not "dispatching." Based on this philosophy, we continue to provide support close to the site. Toward the reconstruction of Ukraine, the power of technology and human bonds will come together to create a concrete form of hope.

2. Provision of automobiles and heavy machinery

Bringing the power to action to the reconstruction sites.

In Ukraine, roads, bridges, and buildings were destroyed by the war, and there are still many areas where people have lost their means of travel and transportation.

To recover, we need a solid foundation of mobility.

We are engaged in the activities of refurbishing automobiles and heavy machinery that were used in Japan and providing them to local areas.

Rather than simply providing supplies, we carefully understand local needs and select and maintain vehicles that are suitable for the purpose and environment before delivering them.

The vehicles that arrive on site will be used in a variety of areas, including road repair, debris removal, material transportation, and medical support.

To get a city that has stopped moving again.

Each and every one of these vehicles will become a cog in the wheel of reconstruction, a means of transporting lives and connecting hope.

Japan will provide solid support as a driving force on the ground to revitalize Ukraine.

3. Provision of agricultural machinery and equipment

Making Ukraine's fertile soil fertile again.

Ukraine was originally known as one of the world's leading grain-producing countries.

However, the war left farmland devastated and machinery lost, making it impossible for many farmers to continue their operations.

We provide agricultural machinery and tools from Japan to help bring "fruit" back to these fields.

We will select the equipment essential for restarting agriculture, such as tractors, cultivators, seed drills, and irrigation equipment, and provide support for the safe transportation and delivery.

We also support local farmers in their independent operations by providing guidance on how to maintain and operate machinery.

Hope begins with sowing a single seed.

It is there that the future of families, local economies, and countries rests.

We continue to support Ukraine with our skills and heart, in order to bring the joy of harvest back to its fertile land.

4. Academic support for war orphans

Providing learning opportunities for the children of the future.

Along with taking many precious lives, war also took away children's "daily lives" and "dreams."

War orphans who have lost their parents and their learning environment continue to live each day in fear and loneliness.

However, the power to change the future lies in education.

We are working to provide support to children who have been orphaned by war, so that they can regain the opportunity to learn.

We are providing scholarships, providing school supplies and teaching materials, introducing distance learning, and restoring school facilities.

We are working to create an environment where each individual can fulfill their desire to learn.

We also collaborate with educational institutions and private organizations in Japan to provide cross-border learning opportunities, such as online classes and cultural exchange programs.

So that children can once again sit down at their desks and talk about their dreams and goals.

"Education" is the surest path to healing the scars of war and creating hope for the future.

We will continue to provide warm support from Japan to help Ukrainian children regain their days of learning and smiling.
